Dear Soar Community,
We want to take a moment to share an honest update with our US-based customers about the shipping challenges we’ve been navigating over the past few weeks. As a small business, we always do our best to keep costs fair and shipping smooth, but sometimes circumstances outside of our control create unexpected hurdles.
What’s Happening Right Now:
Canada Post Strike
Normally, many of our US orders travel through Canada Post and then transfer to the United States Postal Service (USPS). With Canada Post currently on strike, this option is on hold.
UPS & Purolator Paused
Both UPS and Purolator have temporarily suspended all food and beverage shipments into the US due to delays at US customs. Since our matcha products fall under this category, this has closed off two more reliable shipping lanes until these operations resume.
Testing DHL Express
Our team has been testing shipments with DHL Express to ensure your orders can still safely and quickly reach you. The challenge? DHL Express rates are significantly higher than the previously noted options.
How This Affects You
Because of these changes, we’ve had to make some temporary adjustments on our website:
- Shipping costs at checkout have increased to reflect the much higher DHL rates.
- Our free shipping incentive is now paused in the US until we're able to return to more affordable carrier options.
We know these changes aren't ideal, and it’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly.
Looking Ahead
We want to reassure you that these changes are temporary. As soon as our regular carriers resume food and beverage shipments, or as soon as more affordable options become available, we’ll bring back our normal shipping rates and free shipping incentive.
Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time. Your orders mean the world to us and allow us to keep sharing the matcha we love with you, even in the midst of these recent shipping challenges.
With gratitude,
The Soar Organics Team
