Bliss balls, power balls, raw bites.. whatever you choose to call them, variations of these powerful snacks have become quite popular. These bliss balls are loaded with healthy ingredients to help boost your immune system and give you extra energy. They also have a flavour of fall and are the perfect snack to cozy up to with a warm glass of matcha.
Vegan-friendly, Gluten-free, Dairy-free. Recipe makes ~20 balls.
What you'll need:
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup Oats
- 1/4 cup Gluten-free Flour (we used Coconut Flour)
- 1/2 tsp. Organic Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1 tsp. Soar Organics Matcha (and more for rolling see *Note)
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup Soft Pitted Dates (soak in warm water for 10 minutes prior)
- 1/3 cup Organic Pure Pumpkin (we used canned)
- 2 tbs. Almond Milk (or other plant-based milk)
- 1 tbs. Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (melted)
*Note: For extra matcha flavour you can roll your matcha bliss balls in matcha afterwards (as shown in the pictures). Begin with a little less than 1/4 cup matcha in a bowl, and roll away!
Steps:
- Add your dry ingredients into your food processor and pulse lightly until everything is mixed.
- Add in your dates and mix on high speed until your dates have broken down. The mixture should still be dry.
- Begin to add in your other wet ingredients, and keep mixing on medium to high speed. A sticky texture should begin to form.
- Once everything is well combined you can begin to form your bliss balls.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon per ball, the mixture should make about 20 Matcha Pumpkin Bliss Balls.
- You can choose to roll your treats in Soar Organics Matcha Powder. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an air-tight container.
Note: The natural oils and moisture from within the bliss balls will slowly begin to absorb some of the matcha powder on the outside over time creating mini specs. This is completely normal! If you're making them advance and need them for a special event, simply wait to roll them. Alternatively, re-rolling them works too. This is a common occurrence with raw treats that are rolled in powders!
