The rich soils, clear water and deep fog of the Kirishima mountains provide the perfect environment for tea cultivation. As such, this region has received numerous Japan National Tea Competition awards for producing exceptional tea.

How To Use

Best used in traditional matcha tea or super premium matcha lattes. Matcha tea instructions:

  1. Sift ½ tsp. matcha powder into bowl or cup.
  2. Pour 60ml (2oz) hot water onto the powder. For best results use water just under a boil.
  3. Whisk thoroughly until your matcha tea forms a frothy layer.
  4. Add more hot water to desired taste.

Soar Matcha is My Daily Essential!

I've been enjoying Soar matcha for over a year now. This is by far the best I've found in North America. The quality is outstanding - smooth, rich, and certified organic. What truly sets Soar apart is its commitment to safety and transparency. This is the only matcha brand I've come across that's been tested to ensure it's free of both radiation and mold. My new favourite!

I normally order the Uji matcha but decided to try the kirishima matcha. Wow. It has such a strong flavor but blends so well. The powder dissolves with less water I find then the Uji. It lets me make it with less water so when I mix it with oat milk, I get a very creamy texture. It works well also for my strawberry oat matcha. As it is a strong flavour but on the sweeter side. This is now my new favourite from soar.

After purchasing Matcha in Japan for years, i researched and tasted almost every company in North America. When i discovered Soar Organics and their principles of recycling and using even compostable 'peanuts', i was thrilled with their ethics as well as the taste of Kirishima Ceremonial. Now, over the years, i have -and am reusing- many of their convenient metal containers...i use them in gardening, in storing various items, i've given dozens of them to many others as well. i like the convenience but am disturbed by so many containers that i have not been able to reuse. for this recent order i chose to purchase the 100g packages rather than the 30g containers. it was easy to transfer the matcha into the smaller bins and i am now more satisfied with the possibility of reusing the convenience and also being able to respond to my ecological concerns.
