Delicious matcha glaze brownies


Chocolate Brownies:

  • 1-1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 6 tbs. Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Flax Egg (1 tbs. ground flax + 3 tbs. hot water from tap, let stand for 10 min to thicken)
  • 1 cup Non-dairy Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Matcha Glaze:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F, line 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang. 
  2. In a large bowl add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine. 
  3. In a medium bowl add prepared flax egg, milk, sugar, oil and vanilla. Mix to combine.
  4. Add the wet mixture to dry bowl and stir until smooth. Pour into pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  5. To make the matcha glaze mix together powdered sugar, milk and matcha powder. Whisk together until smooth. 
  6. Let brownies cool completely before serving with the matcha glaze. Enjoy!
